Zero Bias Hinf Control of Flexible Rotor Magnetic Bearing Flywheel System with Gyroscopic Effect Using Singular Value Decomposition
This investigation deals with a small flywheel energy storage rotor supported by magnetic bearing system. A flexible model based on finite-element method is derived. Thereafter, we proposed making a mode separation using singular value decomposition method when the gyroscopic matrix is considered in the equation of motion. Further, the reliability of reduced–order FEM model is verified and the five Hinf controllers are designed to guarantee the whole stability up to 200Hz. The effectiveness of the reduced-order flexible model and the stability of the closed-loop system are verified by simulations.
