Inverse Problems of Magnetic Bearing Dynamics
This paper describes the design procedure of the optimal active magnetic bearing control for a rigid gyroscopic rotor from the position of inverse problems of dynamics. The procedure is based on the analytical solution of the four-dimensional Linear-Quadratic optimization problem and results in the coupled speeddependent optimal control. The simulation results are compared with those obtained for a conventional PID control.
