Zero Bias H Control Of Active Magnetic Bearings For Energy Storage Flywheel Systems
For energy storage flywheel systems, the reduction of energy loss of AMBs is a very important subject. Thus, the control method based on bias current is not appropriate for these systems because it consumes energy even if the rotor is controlled at the equilibrium point. In this paper, we propose a simple and effective method which does not use bias current based on a simple linearization and the H8 control. The H8 method can design a robust controller systematically. The effectiveness of the proposed method is shown by simulation and experiment.
